Publications
From
time to time, the Tucson Institute of Professional Educators
produces publications which may be of interest to educators, and we may
also make available publications from other sources. Most of these publications
are distributed to participants at Institute events.
The list of currently
available publications appears below, however this list is regularly updated
so please, check back often to see what is available. Where a publication
is liked to an Institute event, you can find information on that event
by following the link to Event Descriptions to the left. If something
is not listed below, or you would like more information an anything you

Group discussions can be both highly effective as a teaching/learning
strategy and very teacher-friendly. They work in any Subject Area,
and with most levels, and once the groundwork has been done, the activity
"runs itself". The activity presented here practises both
individual presentation and group / interpersonal skills, and allows
the teacher-observer to assess both the students' subject knowledge
and their discussion skills. It is particularly useful in an IB or
IGCSE classroom. This publication accompanies workshop T303. |
